Parks & Recreation

If you would like to rent the Gaylord Park shelter or the Village Hall building and park shelter, please contact the Village Clerk during office hours. Rental fees are $60.00 per day for Village of Rockland residents and $80.00 per day for non-residents. See the PARKS tab for photos. 

Police Services

Police services for the Village of Rockland are provided by the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office.  

All officers have direct access to the resources of the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office.

Waste & Recycling

Harter's Quick Clean-Up Provides waste & recycling service for Rockland. 

 

-Curbside Pick-up of garbage is every Monday starting at 6 AM, and recycling is every other Monday. There are 35, 65, & 95 gallon garbage totes. Garbage tote fees are $16.50 per month for 35 and 65 gallon totes and $18.50 per month for 95 gallon totes. Contact the Village Clerk during office hours to have a tote delivered to your home or to change the size of your tote. If you move out of Rockland, please contact the clerk so that your tote can be returned.

-Recycling includes: Tin, Glass, Aluminum, Plastic (#1-7), Cardboard, Office Paper, Junk Mail, Newspaper, Fiberboard (Cereal boxes, soda boxes, etc.). 

-Large Item Pickup is the first Monday after annual rummage sales in May each year.  Items such as couches, desks, etc. are free.  Appliances are $25 each and mattresses and box springs are $20 each.  You must contact the Village Clerk no later than the Wednesday before large item day to schedule and pay for your items. 

-Garbage will be billed monthly with water and sewer bills.  

 
Water & Sewer Utility

Water and sewer bills are mailed out at the end of each month. They are due on the 23rd of each month. Payments can be dropped off during business hours or can be placed in the dropbox on the door of the Village Hall when the office is closed. Payments can be mailed to Village of Rockland, P.O. Box 124, Rockland, WI 54653. Garbage and water payments must be paid as two separate checks. 

 

2021 Consumer Confidence Report 

The annual Water Quality Report (also known as the Consumer Confidence Report) contains information about the Village of Rockland's Municipal Water system including results of required water-quality tests. Rockland's water quality has met or exceeded the Federal and State criteria requirements.  The EPA has determined that the Village of Rockland's Municipal water is safe at the levels detected.

In compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Rockland Municipal Utility is pleased to provide you a link to the 2021 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). This document provides information about the water supply to help you make informed decisions. Specific information includes where the water comes from, contaminants present in the water, and the risks our water testing and treatment are designed to identify and prevent.
